Auto Repair and Tire Service in Tonawanda, NY
"Ethics, visibility and accessibility are just as important to managing a Main Street business as professional expertise. People in Western New York want to do business with people they know and trust."
The automotive services and repair business that is today known as Total Automotive began as a small one-man shop located on Kenmore Avenue. Owner and president Tom Sciortino started the business in 1986 after graduating from Erie Community College’s prestigious automotive services program and honing his skills with Broad Elm, Tire Man and Goodyear Tire.
In 1999, Tom moved his business to larger facilities at 2125 Eggert Road in the Northtown Plaza where we are located today. Our clean modern facilities feature six state-of-the-art service bays which are equipped to handle every passenger car on the road today including everything from domestic and foreign vehicles to high-end luxury cars and the latest hybrids.
With the help of a steadily increasing network of customers, initially gleaned from Tom’s participation and leadership with Eggertsville Hose Company and as a coach with local youth ice hockey leagues, Total Automotive has experienced steady growth. As the result of word of mouth advertising and referrals from a growing cadre of satisfied customers who know Tom and trust his work, Total Automotive today employs a staff of nine who service more than 7,000 cars each year.
Today from our location in the Northtown Plaza in Tonawanda, Total Automotive provides comprehensive under-car care services for all brands of domestic, hybrid and foreign cars including high-end luxury cars such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar and others. In addition, an increasingly important segment of our business is fleet service and repair work for first response and emergency organizations.
Total Automotive’s customers come from all over Tonawanda, Town of Tonawanda, Eggertsville, Snyder and the University Heights section of Buffalo. Due in part to our geographic location between the University of Buffalo’s Main Street Campus and North Campus in Tonawanda, a significant segment of the company’s clientele are students, professors and staff. In a statistic that is unique to Total Automotive, more than 60% of our customers each year are women.
